Create a Team that Wins

We all want to be on a team that “wins”. There are many things that we can do to point us in that direction. We can set goals so everyone is clear. We can talk about purpose so everyone is on the same page. We can engage and interact so everyone develops a relationship and bonds with each other. These are all excellent tactics and I highly recommend them. But, can we do more? Of course, the answer is “yes”.

The energetics of communication and relationships plays a critical role in team dynamics. When a team is working well, nobody questions it. Everyone simply realizes that there is just “something” about the group that clicks. Of course, when they are not working – everyone is acutely aware of that too! What makes the difference?

The “energetics of communication” is what makes the difference. As I’ve said in other articles, there is an energetic exchange that exists under all relationships and communication. Where electricity exists, a magnetic field is created. Our heart is electric, so every person has an electromagnetic field around our body that acts as a carrier wave of information continuously. That is how we “pick up” on how people think and feel at an intuitive level.

Our emotions affect others whether we are aware of it or not. In one study of forty participants all wearing heart rate monitors, thirty trained participants achieve a level of emotional balance while the other ten people were control subjects. The control subjects were not in an emotionally balanced state when the experiment began. After the thirty trained people achieved a state of balance, the other ten people automatically switched into an emotionally balanced state.

This has dramatic implications for leading teams to success. Not only does the team have a clear objective and clear goals, but they are energetically and emotionally aligned with each other and their goals. Performance will skyrocket.
